Ingredients
- 2½ oz rye
- ¼ oz simple syrup
- ~5 dashes Peychaud's bitters
- Absinthe, to rinse the glass
- Lemon peel, for expressing
Steps
- Rinse a chilled glass with absinthe, coating the inside, and discard the excess.
- In a mixing glass with ice, combine the rye, simple syrup, and Peychaud's bitters.
- Stir, then strain into the absinthe-rinsed chilled glass.
- Express the lemon peel over the drink last.
Notes
- Doubled (two drinks): 5 oz rye, ½ oz (3 tsp) simple syrup, 8 dashes Peychaud's.
